Performance analysis of fifteen level reduced device count asymmetrical multilevel inverter
Keywords:
low-order harmonics, power switchesAbstract
This article presents an asymmetrical multilevel inverter with a decreased device count of fifteen levels for use in electric car applications. The number of power switches needed is reduced by this innovative multilayer inverter architecture. The nearest-level control approach is used to operate the suggested inverter. The fifteen levels of a typical multilevel inverter are created by 10 to twelve switches. Traditional multilevel inverters require a lot of switches, which raises the cost, switching losses, distortion from all harmonics, and cost per switch. The proposed design requires just nine switches. It reduces switching losses, low-order harmonics, and complexity while drastically reducing the overall harmonic distortion by 5%. The proposed multilayer inverter (MLI) has a 98.35% efficiency rate.Downloads
